• Solves day- to- day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Performs the on- site service and repair of equipment.
• Transitions new equipment and processes through start- up, qualification, and implementation.
• Ensures waste materials are discarded in their designated containers.
• Maintains effective communication with other members of the manufacturing team.
• Develops a complete understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems.
• Responds to SPC process control alarms, bringing processes back into control.
• Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
• Executes planned process experiments, collect and analyze data and report experimental results.
• Provides training to production associates.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Interfaces with internal associates and supplier representatives, as required, to complete assigned projects.
• Sets up and maintain gauges.
• Dispositions non- conforming product according to established criteria (NCP).
• Will complete First Solar EMT 1 training program.
• Develops and updates internal documentation including drawings, standard operating procedures, and process specifications.
• Collects data relating to daily tool performance and associated product performance.
• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Develops methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
• Ensures hazardous waste containers stay closed except when adding or removing waste.
• Ensures satellite accumulation containers stay in their designated locations.
• Ensures all processes are running on target as defined by the Process Control Plan.

Associate degree in a technical field; two or more years machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function
• Good written and oral communications skills in English
• Safety first mindset
• Working knowledge of common Windows computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Able to troubleshoot and solve process issues on the manufacturing line
• Self- directed, able to work with minimal supervision
• Verifiable hands- on troubleshooting/repair skills
• Verifiable electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge
• Able to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues on the manufacturing line
• Able to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks
• Able to identify recurring issues and develop/communicate improvement recommendations
