English Teacher (Local Only)

The English Teacher at EHL Phu Quoc is to deliver English training following the standards of VET by EHL, with a strong focus on Hospitality English for key hotel departments: F&B Service, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Kitchen Operations. Ensure that students can communicate and use English effectively in real operational environments, meeting the requirements of partner hotels and the hospitality job market.
Key Responsibilities:
*Teaching And Training
- Prepare, deliver, and evaluate General Communication English and Hospitality English programs according to the VET by EHL framework.
- Teach industry- specific English to students in the following operational areas:
Front Office: check- in/check- out, reservations, problem- solving, telephone communication.
Housekeeping: room cleaning procedures, room status reporting, internal and guest communication.
F&B Service: guest communication, menu introduction, handling complaints, service procedures.
Kitchen: culinary vocabulary, kitchen workflow, food safety and hygiene (HACCP terminology).
- Conduct English placement tests (entry and exit) and evaluate students’ learning progress.
- Organize role- plays, service scenario simulations, and practical learning activities.
- Mark assignments, provide feedback, and monitor student performance.
*English Program Development
- Propose improvements to ensure training content meets industry needs.
- Design lesson plans, learning materials, exercises, practical modules, and internal textbooks aligned with international standards of VET by EHL.
* Partnership Training
- Deliver Hospitality English Inhouse training for hotel and resort partners of Hotel Academy Vietnam.
- Adapt training content to meet each partner’s service standards and operational requirements.
* Other Responsibilities
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development programs as required.
- Support academic activities, English clubs, and institute events.

Education

- Preferred certifications (at least one required for English teaching): TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or DELTA
- Bachelor’s Degree in English Language, English Teaching, TESOL, or related fields.
- Additional adult- teaching or vocational teaching certificates are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of English teaching experience.
- Strong advantage for candidates with: Experience teaching Hospitality English or Tourism English, Hotels and Resorts.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English (equivalent to IELTS 6.5+).
- Ability to simulate real hospitality scenarios and coach students through practical tasks.
- Ability to work in an international academic environment.
- Class management, presentation skills, and the ability to facilitate engaging learning activities.
