Finance Director

We are looking for an ambitious and results- driven Director of Finance to join our core team! The Finance Director at YOLA will play a crucial role in managing the organization&039;s financial health, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance. This role requires financial expertise, risk management capabilities, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in the service industry, B2C, or retail chains and will work closely with the CEO to drive efficiency and profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Expertise:
- Prepare detailed and timely financial reports for the Executive Leadership Team.
- Oversee cash flow management and implement effective treasury controls.
- Develop and manage budgets that align with various operational departments&039; needs.
Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Manage internal control operations and the relationship with external auditors.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Strategic Thinking:
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to support business decisions.
- Analyze and interpret business data, including product effectiveness, pricing, and competitive positioning with the market.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Leadership:
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and Financial and Management Accounting functions.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop finance staff.
Collaboration and Partnership:
- Work constructively with various departments to support overall business goals.
- Support the CEO in achieving greater efficiency and profitability.
- Partner proactively with marketing, operations, and academic teams to drive cost- saving initiatives and enhance product effectiveness.
- Perform other duties required by the CEO

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business data and provide strategic insights.
- Bachelor&039;s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master&039;s degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Solid experience in financial reporting, risk management, and internal control.
- In- depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, preferably in the service industry, B2C, or retail chains.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
