Overview of the Role
The incumbent will be part of the Entity Reporting & Control team within UOB Vietnam Finance & Corporate Services, focusing on financial & regulatory reporting and Tax.
Job Responsibilities
Financial & Regulatory Reporting:
• Oversee the calculation of general and specific provision per SBV’s requirements.
• Review, maintain and update accounting policies and regulatory guidance.
• Oversee the calculation of regulatory prudential ratios and safety limits.
• Lead the preparation and submission of reports including Financial statements to Group and regulators including SBV, CIC, DIV, NFSC etc.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve accuracy, consistency and completeness of data inputs for financial & regulatory reports and optimize reporting processes.
• Act as contact point for regulators and external auditor.
• Provide Finance advisory and guidance to business and support units on new products and other finance related matters.
Tax:
• Work with external consultant on Transfer Pricing preparation and submission.
• Provide tax advisory and guidance to business and support units on new products and other tax related matters.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of FATCA reports.
• Oversee and ensure Tax compliance including VAT, FCT, CIT and other applicable taxes.
• Act as the contact point for Tax authorities.
• Maintain up- to- date knowledge on local and international tax developments impacting the bank.
• Oversee VAT invoice issuance to customers.
Others:
• Participate in related enhancement and automation projects.
• Supervise, coach and mentor staff.
• Strengthen internal control and governance across the areas in charge.
• Other tasks assigned by Head of ERC and back up to Head of ERC in his/her absence.
