ABOUT EDTRONAUT
(Think: AI- powered, modular, no- code builder that lets learners prototype and launch AI agents and solutions across job functions—from marketing assistants to automation bots, etc.)
We’re early but moving fast. This is the 0 to 1 moment—and we’re looking for a builder who are excited to build things and own the tech workstreams.
Edtronaut is reimagining how people learn and break into the workforce—starting by learning AI through building real AI agents. Our mission is to close the gap between learning and earning with AI- powered job simulations that help learners build portfolios and eventually job matching, not just through "e- learning" (watch videos) or the traditional form of education which only provide knowledge not building skills.
One of the initial simulation track would be Building an AI Agent.
THE ROLE: FOUNDING TECH LEAD- FULLSTACK ENGINEER
As our Founding Tech Lead, you won’t just code—you’ll architect, ship, and iterate the core platform. You’ll be our go- to person for all things tech while working closely with the Founder/CEO and Product team to translate the job simulation vision into an interactive, scalable, AI- integrated platform.
You’ll be supported by a lean team of intern- level engineers (AI, frontend/backend), which means you must be highly hands- on—this is not an oversight or purely "management" role, it’s a builder&039;s role.
WHAT YOU WILL BUILD & LEAD
MVP PLATFORM FROM SCRATCH:
Web app with AI Agent simulation builder (drag- drop interface or form- based schema builder)
Role- based scenario simulation & sandbox environment
Agent publishing & learner portfolio pages
AI ML/LLM integration to execute agent tasks
TECH STACK OWNERSHIP:
Architect a lean, scalable, modular stack (likely: React/Next.js, Node.js, Mongo/PostgreSQL, Vercel/AWS)
Build fast, ship often—optimize for feedback loops
AI API INTERGRATION:
Own prompt flow, token usage optimization, and fallback logic using OpenAI/Anthropic
Future phases: LangChain, Pinecone, vector search, fine- tuned agents
MENTOR & MANAGEMENT INTERN ENGINEERS:
Guide junior teammates (AI engineers, frontend/back- end interns)
Pair- program, code review, and help unblock their workstreams
COLLABORATE CROSS FUNCTIONALLY:
Co- own roadmap with founder, contribute to product evolution and architectural decisions
With product, UX, marketing, and curriculum teams to align user journey and tech feasibility
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
Comfortable wearing many hats: from DevOps to LLM prompt tinkering
A hands- on builder who loves turning ideas into working products, fast
Fullstack- capable: confident in both frontend and backend (React + Node)
Startup- minded: bias for action, scrappy problem- solver, loves the chaos of early stage
Curious about AI and excited by its real- world potential—not just theory
TECH SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Solid understanding of REST APIs, data modeling, secure auth (JWT/OAuth)
Strong in React.js / Next.js, Node.js, Express, MongoDB/PostgreSQL
Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.)
Familiarity with deployment tools: Vercel, Netlify, Heroku, or AWS
5–7+ years in software engineering with fullstack experience
Bonus: interest or experience in building internal tools, LMS, or simulation platforms
BONUS BUT NOR REQUIRED
Experience in EdTech, upskilling, or simulation- based platforms
Basic understanding of UX/UI workflows and front- end optimization
Experience working with interns/junior engineers
Familiarity with AI evaluation, vector databases, or chatbot frameworks

Ownership & Autonomy: You own tech strategy. Suggest tools. Define the roadmap.
Founding Impact: Your code is the company. Everything users see and touch is yours.
COMPENSATION
Stipend/Salary: Negotiable based on commitment and contribution
Equity: Significant equity option as part of the founding team
Future upside as we raise funding and gain traction
