JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
The General Accountant is responsible for supervising accounting operations, preparing consolidated financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and supporting the Chief Accountant in managing the accounting function. This position is a potential successor to the Chief Accountant role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting activities (GL, AR, AP, payroll).
• Review and control accounting entries and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax laws.
• Prepare, review, and submit tax reports, including VAT, CIT, and PIT.
• Work directly with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other external parties.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
• Guide, train and supervise junior accounting staff.
• Assist the Chief Accountant in system improvement and internal controls.
REQUIREMENTS
ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT?
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
● From 3- year experience in General Accountant position.
● Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
● Strong financial analysis and problem- solving skills.
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Vietnamese.
● Strong organizational and stress management skills.
● Good in MS (Word, Excel, Power point...) is required.
● Hands- on experience with AMIS Accounting Software (AMIS 3.0 is a must).
● Ability to train, supervise, and manage staff.
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
● Dynamic, enthusiastic high sense of responsibility, integrity with “can do” attitude
● Good interpersonal skills and commitment to the accounting profession.
