POSITION: Community Liaison Office (CLO) Student Intern (2 position(s))
DESCRIPTION OF INTERN POSITION
The CLO Internship program benefits both the U.S. Consulate General and student interns by providing a valuableeducational experience to students while assisting the Consulate General accomplish important mission goals.
CLO Interns will be responsible for:
Provide general administrative support to the CLO, including data entry, document preparation, and other duties asassigned.
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of CLO events, including research, planning, logistics, set up andexecution
Help draft, edit the CLO biweekly newsletter by collecting content, preparing articles, and ensuring timely delivery
Gather and organize information on local services, activities, and community resources to support the needs of theConsulate community

ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific information supporting each item. Failure todo so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.
Student must be able to obtain and hold the medical and security certification from the Consulate.
Students must be in good academic standing at their current educational institution and provide a certifiedtranscript and must provide written permission from the educational institution in which the student is enrolled.
Students must be currently enrolled as a college/university student in Vietnam through the entire duration of theinternship.
Students must be at least 18 years old at the time of participation in the program.
Students who are either Vietnamese citizens or Vietnamese permanent legal residents are eligible for the internprogram. For permanent legal residents, a valid legal residency permit is required for consideration.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
Language requirement: Good working knowledge Examples – Conversations about familiar topics, complexdocuments.2. Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
There will be NO employment benefits associated with this position: annual leave accrual, sick leave, etc. There will be NO compensation or payment.
PLEASE NOTE: INTERNS ARE NOT CONSIDERED U.S. CONSULATE GENERAL EMPLOYEES The intern will not be considered as a Federal employee.

POSITION: Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Student Intern (1 position)
DESCRIPTION OF INTERN POSITION
The FAS Internship program benefits both the U.S. Consulate General and student interns by providing a valuableeducational experience to students while assisting the Consulate General accomplish important mission goals
FAS Intern will be responsible for:
Assisting with translation and other tasks as required. Intern will receive mandatory job training.All duties will be performed in English. For more information about the U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service go tohttps://www.fas.usda.gov/.
Assisting with marketing campaigns;
Compiling and drafting internal and external communications and economic reports for relevant stakeholders;
Compiling and processing trade data; and,
Working with FAS Officers and Specialists to coordinate preparations for U.S. agricultural trade events in Vietnam,including updating contact lists;
