JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Before class:
Collect student’s workbook to check and correct student’s homework
Be ready in class 30 minutes before the lesson starts
Set up classroom and organise the classroom resources before the students arrive
Review previous lesson content with provided materials
2. During class:
Monitor students during lesson to make sure that they are on task and maintain strong student management based on the teachers expectations
Motivate children to tidy up at the end of the lesson to keep their bags organized and ensure the classroom and resources are ready for the next class
Support teachers to demonstrate classroom activities so that students understand what they have to do
Help students to communicate in English as much as possible and speak English at all times, except when the message cannot be conveyed in English
Help teachers with attendance check and deal with latecomers by arranging their seats
Be responsible for children at break times and before, after and between classes
Encourage and assist students when having Project lessons, without doing their work
Spend a few minutes with teachers confirming the lesson number/content/activities
3. Fulfill admin tasks:
Deliver students’ homework status to teachers after class
Upload daily report (attendance, homework, teaching records)
Deliver students to the lobby
Orally translate during meetings between teachers and parents when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Have excellent command of English, especially pronunciation and grammar
Be able to work on weekends and weekday evenings from 5pm – 9pm
Possessing IELTS/TOEIC is preferred
Be willing to work with children and young teenagers
Have a compassionate and positive attitude in teaching/education
Strong written and verbal communication skills
