Head of Data Science, ZaloPay

Drive the development of advanced analytics and machine learning models to enhance credit scoring accuracy, detect and prevent fraudulent activities, and optimize promotion expenses.
Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise in the design, development, and evaluation of predictive models and algorithms.
Develop and implement the overall data science strategy, ensuring alignment with the company&039;s objectives and business needs.
Stay up- to- date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Manage and mentor a high- performing team of data scientists, data analysts, and data strategists, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and professional growth.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and other functions to drive the adoption and implementation of data- driven solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations, and promote ethical data handling practices within the team.
Monitor and evaluate KPIs related to data science initiatives, and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Bachelor&039;s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. A Master&039;s or Ph.D. degree is highly desirable.
Excellent business acumen and the ability to translate complex data science concepts into actionable insights and strategies.
Proven experience in leading and managing data science and machine learning teams, preferably in the fintech industry, with a strong background in credit scoring being a definite plus.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical information to non- technical audiences.
