Curriculum/ syllabus maintenance and improvement
Design, implement and supervise other school programs such as summer courses and extra programs for fast/ slow learners.Quality assurance and student attainment
Constantly update the curriculum and syllabus in accordance with the changing requirements from IELTS and YLE tests.
Ensure the curriculum and syllabus are delivered consistently and timely to achieve TIS educational goals.
Contribute to the development of the total school philosophy of education, and oversee implementation of student behaviour management programs and strategies at all grade level.
Quality assurance and student attainment
Be responsible for overall English program at TIS.
Monitor progress on overall and individual student achievement goals.
Ensure practices are in place to help all students meet achievement goals.
Ensure students have the opportunity to learn critical content.
Survey students, parents, and teachers as one of many ways to collect feedback and review quality of the program.
Develop S.M.A.R.T goals for both overall and individual student achievements.
Formulate overall strategies and plans for yearly school reviews; Follow through the approved strategies/plans.
Professional development and personal communication
Develop a clear vision on instruction for teachers, TAs and staff.
Collaborate with other departments in order to achieve TIS goals in both Vietnamese and English.
Design, implement and supervise professional development, data collection and assessment.
Maintain and develop teachers’ qualifications and qualities.
Nurture the trust of faculty and staff; Provide a safe and trustworthy environment for students, parents, faculty and community.
Acknowledge success of teaching and operational staff through summative and formative assessment.
Management and leadership
Use effective leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the Educational development.
Display leadership skills in all areas of school management.
Provide school wide administrative leadership.
Be decisive and be responsible for the decisions.
Other duties
Assist in recruitment, selection, recommendations for hiring and evaluation of personnel.
Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Assist the CEO in developing and maintaining annual budget.
Participate in school assembly, parents/teacher meetings, graduation ceremonies and other public events, marketing & other school events, attend professional conferences, seminars, and workshops; deliver presentations on behalf of the school as required.
