Head of Finance

Job Purpose
The Head of Finance is responsible for leading all financial activities of the retail business, ensuring strong control over P&L, cash flow, costs, and profitability. This role acts as a strategic business partner to the Executive Team, supporting store performance optimization, expansion decisions, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Control

Monitor and control operating costs (COGS, OPEX, payroll, rental, utilities).
Analyze gross margin and net margin by product, store, and sales channel.
Own and manage company- wide and store- level P&L.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Track actual vs. budget performance and provide corrective recommendations.
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Evaluate financial effectiveness of promotions, pricing strategies, and sales campaigns.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

Work with banks and financial partners on funding or cash optimization when required.
Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for daily retail operations.
Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels.

Store Performance & Expansion Support

Develop financial KPIs to assess store- level profitability.
Conduct financial analysis for new store openings, relocations, and closures.
Evaluate ROI for expansion projects, CAPEX, and system investments.

Accounting, Compliance & Reporting

Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
Continuously improve finance and accounting processes to fit a retail operating model.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant authorities.

Team Leadership & Business Partnering

Lead, develop, and manage the Finance & Accounting team.
Provide actionable financial insights to support management decision- making.

Requirements

Strong understanding of retail P&L, cost control, inventory management, and cash flow.
Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in finance, preferably within retail, FMCG, or multi- store operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields; CPA/ACCA is a plus.
Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and problem- solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross- functional collaboration skills.
