Head of Product Development (consumer finance)

Job objectives

Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define product vision and strategy and key verticals.
Build Product team to effectively implement the assigned features.
Be in charge of managing the lending product life cycle, from planning to building to evaluating and improving the product to meet business requirements
Work closely with the other departments to formulate strategic insights and propose action plans to achieve business objectives.
As the Head of Product, you will be in charge of the Product’s P&L, accountable for the financial results and profitability of the products
Work with senior management to create product strategy and roadmap

Key responsibilities

Work collaboratively with engineers and cutting- edge technologies
Work with potential funding partners (banks, financial institutions) to present, negotiate, design models and cooperation products, sign contracts.
uild and training Product team to effectively implement the assigned features.
Understand markets, competition and customer/user requirements in depth
Coordinate with relevant Departments (Finance, Risk, IT, S&M, Operations, etc.) to build and operate product pricing models, manage, and propose suitable product price which are in line with Company’s business plan in each period.
Study, research, analyze and design product improvements and functions based on market research, customer data and system readiness.
The Head of Product is responsible for the P&L and financial performance of the products
Develop a product policy for cash loans, insurance, BNPL, FNPL, …
Develop product policies and regulations in line with Company&039;s business goals and strategies

Key skills and requirements:

Good business knowledge of Consumer Finance, Banking, Insurance, Fintech’s Products
At least 5 years of experience
In- depth knowledge and experience with bank/consumer finance products and the Vietnamese lending business landscape.
University Graduate, major: Banking and Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related areas preferably MBA
Knowledge of the internet & mobile technology is a must
Prior experience in launching an eCommerce & BNPL business will be an advantage
Must be familiar with the latest trends and technologies in online shopping
Have a strong background within product management in any consumer sector, such as a Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance
Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
