ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the management of physical security measures, including access controls, CCTV and fire safety systems, and security personnel.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive security framework to protect the Property&039;s guests, employees, assets and infrastructure.
• Recruit, develop and retain talent to maintain a high standard of security and safety on the Property.
• Train, develop and motivate security staff to meet and exceed security and safety standards on a continual basis while attending to their developmental needs through coaching, mentoring, and helping them to improve their knowledge, skills and vocational attributes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate security considerations into developing new products and services.
• Record and notify all risks, deviations from Property security and safety standards and any incidents.
• Oversee first aid program for guests and employees.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise the activities of all security staff.
• Establish crisis management and contingency planning.
• Design and implement security and safety policies, procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and maintain a secure environment including for key control, fire prevention, fire- fighting, and traffic control.
• Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats, promptly investigating and mitigating security incidents.
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism by example, providing effective leadership, sustaining a positive work environment, caring for employees and displaying a dedicated and professional approach to management.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and industry associations.
• Implement and manage security technologies, like firewalls, intrusion detection systems and access controls.
• Liaise with all unit and department heads to ensure Property employees are adhering to established security and safety procedures.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, ensuring timely and effective responses to security breaches.
• Lead security awareness programs and training initiatives to educate employees about best practices and potential threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security- related laws, regulations and standards.
• Ensure superior guest services and compliance with high quality operational standards.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies and regulatory changes, ensuring continuous improvement of the security function.
• Collaborate with cross- functional teams to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities and devise preventive measures.
• Manage records, documentation and reporting to demonstrate compliance and facilitate audits.
• Conduct regular fire evacuation drills as per the Property’s emergency standards.
• Investigate and monitor incident response activities including theft, loss or accident, including investigations, root cause analysis and developing corrective actions.
