JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Consultant supports the IT Manager in ensuring the successful deployment, maintenance, and support of the Smartbooks ERP Accounting and Human Resources software. This role involves assisting with IT infrastructure management, technical support, and customer service while coordinating IT operations to optimize service quality and efficiency. The IT Consultant also plays a crucial role in supporting business development, training clients, and ensuring smooth day- to- day IT operations.
Key responsibilities and duties:
IT Overall Support
Assist with IT projects, including planning, implementation, and testing.
Monitor system stability, security, and performance, ensuring smooth IT operations.
Report to IT Manager/BOD and the clients the ERP progress weekly or further requirements from current clients.
Assist IT Manager in tracking client service contracts, ensuring timely renewals, upgrades, and maintenance.
Help configure and customize ERP solutions based on client’s needs.
Technical Support / Consulting & Customer Service
Support IT product presentations and demonstrations to clients.
Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to Smartbooks ERP, Accounting, and Payroll software reported by clients;
Provide basic consulting and advisory services to help clients optimize business processes with ERP solutions;
Review and test the costing functions;
Understand about ERP data flow and data from ERP to Accounting
Conduct software onboarding and user training for clients to enhance software utilization.
Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction levels by ensuring efficient technical support.
Implement SMARTBOOKS ERP, Accounting, HR software of the Company;
Assist in developing user guides, technical documentation, and deployment guidelines.
Assist in performing system updates, maintenance, and bug fixes to improve software performance;
Respond to client inquiries and support requests in a timely manner.
Collaborate with clients to analyze their business needs and map requirements for ERP and costing solutions;
IT Team Coordination & Training
Provide performance feedback to team members as required.
Assist in training and mentoring IT team members on system maintenance and customer support skills.
Contribute to creating a knowledge- sharing environment within the team (e.g., case studies, tech talks).
Participate in organizing internal IT training programs (e.g., system updates, troubleshooting best practices).
Support the IT Manager in assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
IT Business Development Support
Support the execution of strategies to generate leads and sales opportunities.
Provide insights and reports to the IT Manager and Board of Directors regarding market trends and customer needs.
Assist in identifying potential clients and market segments for IT products and services.
Coordinate with accounting, audit, and other teams to ensure smooth ERP system integration.
REQUIREMENTS
• Graduated from majors in IT, Finance and Accounting or a related field;
• Have a background in ERP, Accounting, and HR- Payroll;
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT consulting with a focus on ERP and costing;
• Accounting Knowledge: Have knowledge and understanding of the Vietnamese accounting system and accounting regime. Understand the production and business process including: production process, accounting rules, costing calculation methods, financial reporting process, production reports, ...
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and support to users;
• Have knowledge about the data flow and data manipulation by SQL;
• Preferably have experience in implementing Accounting software such as FAST, BRAVO, MISA (plus points if you have experience in accounting software service companies);
• Good communication in English; ability to read and understand English documents;
• Careful, patient, and eager to learn.
