Assists in controlling the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
Ensures Housekeeping Attendants work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.
Assists the Assistant Manager Housekeeping in the smooth and efficient running of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all the policies and procedures outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual are strictly adhered to.
Ensures function rooms and related areas are clean before commencement of function.
Conducts checks on works done by Housekeeping Attendants.
Develops the skills and effectiveness of all Housekeeping Attendants through the appropriate training.
Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Works with the Assistant Manager- Housekeeping to prepare weekly work schedules, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.
Ensure all pre- setup for V.I.P. arrivals.
Ensures the punctuality and appearance of all Housekeeping Attendants, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
Plans and schedules periodic works such as, carpet shampooing, and high dusting.
Ensures Housekeeping Attendants also provide excellent service to internal customers as appropriate.
Raises job order to Engineering department for repair and maintenance work.
Reports lost and damaged items following policy and procedure.
Ensures Housekeeping Attendants have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.
Strictly adheres to the par stocks for all operating equipments, supplies and inventoried items.
Assigns duties and responsibilities to Housekeeping Attendants.
Supports the implementation of the People Brand, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Encourages Housekeeping Attendants to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognising them for their contribution to the success of the operation.
Provides feedback to Assistant Manager – Housekeeping for Performance Development Discussions with Housekeeping Attendants, to support them in their professional development goals.
Ensures Attendants follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
Delivers the brand promise and provides exceptional Guest service at all times to internal Customers as appropriate.
Conducts checks on Rooms, Public Areas, F&B outlets, offices, toilets and car park.
Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
Ensures the standards as stated in the Operations Manuel are maintained by Housekeeping Attendants.
Reports adverse guest comments.
Conducts checks on works carried out by Contractors.
Logs daily events in Team Leader’s Logbook and follow- up on information reported by the other Team Leaders daily.
Reports and follow- up on repair and maintenance work.
