Assisting the Training Manager for the training function, including developing a complement of qualified departmental trainers and establishes a hotel system for generating training data and evaluating results.

Provide secretarial and administrative services to the HR Department and the hotel, in line with InterContinental Hotels Group standards. Promotes the desired work culture around Our Winning Ways.
FINANCIAL RETURNS:
Take dictation of correspondence as required
Assist Department Trainers in preparing and conducting departmental training and assess accordingly
Attend departmental training session
Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions to Line Managers in line with company guidelines
Follow up the progress of the Training Business Plan for each department
Prepare files, reports, correspondence and other relevant business documentation
Access and use work processing computer packages and keep up to date with enhancements to latest upgrades
Understand the responsibilities of other units and departments and co- operate with them
Maintain current information and records of suppliers of training resources and materials
Maintain an effective filing and administration system for the training function
Maintains all hotel training records
Demonstrate essential overall knowledge of the organization
Maintain confidentiality at all times on all matters
Coordinate with the training facilitators to arrange and prepare all requirements for the successful execution of training events.
Handle general enquiries
Filling a training library of books, videos, journals and audio visual materials to assist trainers in their training programs and for staff personal development
Oversee all Purchase Requisitions in the department
Arrange appointments and meetings
Open and sort mail
Maintain general filing systems
Answer incoming telephone calls and either transfer, redirect or take a message
Produce monthly training reports for your Manager and the General Manager including:
Anticipated return on investment and/or training goal
Number of people attended
Internal Training Programs conducted:
Who trained
Duration of training
Who attended
Cost of delivery (including labor costs)
External training programs attended:
Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
Cost of delivery (including labor costs)
Anticipated return on investment and/or training goal
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
