Import Sales Executive

Position Summary:
- Maintain the close relationship and get full support from the clients with regular visits and entertainment i.e. lunch, dinner etc… within budget to enhance opportunities of getting required business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify sales leads and facilitate communication with origin teams, ensuring follow up until successful acquisition.
- Perform data entry for long term prospect into system.
- Conduct weekly sales calls to monitor progress and identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results. Follow sales goals with team and Manager.
- Managing customer’s complaints and assist trouble shooting.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports.
- Work closely with origin teams to grow volume for existing accounts.
- Develop freehand business.
- Develop inbound volume in accordance with company budget targets.
- Stay updated on market intelligence and industry trends.
- Identify and analyze customer needs and develop sales proposals, in line with Geneva pricing strategy.
- Search for, identify, and develop sales leads from lists, publications, and given information (e.g. referrals, newspaper, magazines, MSC’s network, internet and telemarketing) to increase market share in the territory.
- Perform any duties as assigned by Import Development Manager / Chief Commercial Officer.
Key Stakeholders & Interface:
- Internal: MSC Geneva/MSC ARO Singapore/Local Trade & Sales Managers/Documentation/Finance
- External: Shippers/consignee/terminals/depots
