Inventory Controller

Inventory Control & Monitoring
Monitor daily inventory movements in WMS and reconcile with physical stock.
Identify and escalate negative stock, abnormal balances, aging stock, and slow- moving items.
Ensure correct mapping of SKU – Batch – Location – Status.
Cycle Count & Stock Take
Plan and execute:
Periodic or ad- hoc stock takes based on customer or audit requirements.
Cycle counts (daily / weekly / monthly)
Follow up and verify corrective actions after stock adjustments.
Analyze discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
May participate directly in counting inventory.
Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
Investigate inventory issues such as:
Status mismatch (OK / HOLD / DAMAGED / EXPIRED)
Incorrect batch, location, or status
Missing / over / wrong SKU
Propose and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Work closely with Operators, CS, Supervisors, and Security to identify root causes.
SOP Compliance & Process Improvement
Review and update SOPs when required.
Ensure compliance with inventory- related SOPs.
Propose process improvements to:
Minimize manual handling
Reduce inventory errors
Improve data accuracy
Support training for new staff on inventory control awareness.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare and submit reports on:
Cycle count results
Aging and slow- moving inventory
Stock discrepancies
Inventory accuracy
Communicate inventory issues clearly to internal teams and customers.
Support internal and customer audits.
Customer Service (CS) Backup Support
Ensure CS backup activities comply with existing SOPs and customer requirements.
Act as backup for Customer Service (CS) when required to ensure continuity of daily operations.

Skills & Competencies:

Effective communication and coordination with Operations, Customer Service, and related teams
High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy
High ownership, maturity, and ability to work independently.
Ability to perform cycle counts, stock takes, and inventory reconciliation independently
Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control processes
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills in identifying discrepancies and root causes
Knowledge of SOP compliance, audit requirements, and corrective action follow- up
Proactive and willing to learn with a “can- do” attitude.
Hands- on experience in using WMS to monitor and reconcile inventory data

Qualifications & Experience:

2–4 years of relevant experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics.
Experience in 3PL / Contract Logistics / E- commerce environment is an advantage.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
Hands- on experience with cycle count, stock take, and inventory discrepancy investigation.
Experience working with WMS and inventory- related reports.
Basic to intermediate Excel skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
