IT Infrastructure Engineer DevOps

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our remote team, responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure. You will play a key role in Day 2 operations to ensure seamless application deployments, robust monitoring, and proactive optimization while collaborating with development teams and project teams. Your expertise in cloud, virtualization, automation, and incident management will be critical in maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities

Manage, Deploy, and Maintain Application Infrastructure
Automate infrastructure scaling and failover strategies for high availability (HA).
Configure and optimize networking, security policies, and access controls.
Deploy, configure and maintain virtual servers and containerization enironments (VM, EC2, K8S).
Deploy, configure, and maintain application infrastructure environments (Azure, AWS, On- premise).

Manage, Deploy, and Maintain Application Software
Manage containerized applications (K8S , Docker) and ensure smooth rollouts/rollbacks.
Manual or automate software deployments across dev, staging, and production environments.

Day 2 Operations (Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Optimization, Documentation)
Conduct incident response, root cause analysis and after action review.
Manage backup, disaster recovery and patching strategies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure architecture, procedures, and configurations.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, network issues, and application failures.
Design and build observability solutions for real- time monitoring.

Professional Accreditations: Certifications in cloud platforms (eg. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience as an Infrastructure or DevOps Engineer.
Professional Knowledge/ Skills:
Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Linux/Windows administration
Hands- on experience with major cloud platforms (eg. Azure, AWS).
Additional certifications in DevOps, cloud architecture, are a plus.
Deep experience with containerization technologies (Docker, K8S).
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
