Junior Back-End Software Engineer

This person will have the opportunity to work within several core micro- services to develop and iterate on features and functionality. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

● Rapidly build, iterate, test and deploy new features and products
● Contribute to weekly product releases, sprint planning, and code reviews with a small and dynamic team
● Maintain a high- quality robust codebase
● Architect and develop stable and high availability web service
● Manage and contribute code to large scale projects from inception to completion

REQUIREMENTS:

● 1+ years of PHP development experience
● Strong communication skills
● Willingness to mentor and delegate work to promote growth on the team
● Willing to learn new technologies
● Ability to take product requirements and break down into concise technical requirements to execute on them
● Strong orientation towards data and use data to drive decisions

GOOD TO HAVE:
● Experience working with cache system (Redis, Memcache)
● Experience working with Nginx as proxy
● Hands- on experience working with PHP frameworks Laravel, Slim
● Worked with large- scale and high- traffic projects
● Experience working with container environment: docker, docker- compose,
● Familiar with SOLID principles, design patterns, Domain Driven Design
● Experience working with queue system (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Kubernetes
● Experience working with Linux environment
● Experience with different databases. Relational (eg. PostgreSQL, MySQL) or
NoSQL (eg. MongoDB, ...)
● Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
● Extensive REST API development experience
● Attention to detail and demonstrable design and UX sensibilities.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a team player with
strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
