About the role
The collaborators will work closely with the report lead and the research team from New EnergyNexus Vietnam and RMIT University Vietnam.
We are recruiting two Report Collaborators to support the development of a high- impactpublication on Vietnam’s climate technology innovation and investment ecosystem. You can readabout our report HERE.
Both roles contribute to the same national- level report but focus on different strengths: oneemphasizes qualitative stakeholder engagement and narrative synthesis; the other focuses onquantitative ecosystem mapping and data integrity.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Position 1: Research & Stakeholder Collaborator (3 Months)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Research & Stakeholder Collaborator to support the end- to- end developmentof the report. This role is ideal for someone who excels at connecting structured research withhuman insights.
You will help bridge desk research with real- world validation by engaging directly with founders,investors, and ecosystem leaders shaping Vietnam’s green economy. The ideal candidate will bebased in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, and can commit 20 hours minimum per week from March- June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem Research & Analysis
Synthesize data into concise research briefs and insight memos
Review industry publications, policy documents, investment reports, and ecosystemdatabases
Assist in conducting structured desk and primary research under the guidance of theReport Lead
Stakeholder Engagement & Qualitative Research
Take detailed notes during interviews and assist with interview transcription
Translate qualitative insights into structured report findings
Identify recurring themes, ecosystem bottlenecks, and emerging trends
Assist the scheduling and coordination of interviews with founders, investors, andpolicymakers
Report Development & Synthesis
Contribute to ecosystem mapping with qualitative updates from interviews
Draft and refine report sections based on qualitative findings
Support the Report Lead in shaping the narrative structure
Position 2: Ecosystem Data Collaborator (Service Package)
Role Overview
This remote position is suited to candidates who enjoy meticulous desk research, structured datavalidation, and uncovering trends through quantitative analysis. The engagement is expected torun from March to April 2026.
We are seeking a highly organized Ecosystem Data Collaborator to strengthen the analyticalfoundation of the report. This role ensures that our climate tech ecosystem dataset is accurate,comprehensive, and academically rigorous.
Key Responsibilities
Intensive Ecosystem Mapping
Expand and refine the national ecosystem database
Conduct a deep dive to identify and categorize startups, funds, and support organizationsin the climate tech landscape
Data Cleaning & Validation
Cross- reference and cite all data sources in line with the report standards
Clean, proofread, and validate existing datasets
Ensure consistency, categorization accuracy, and completeness
Trend & Funding Analysis
Flag data gaps and structural inconsistencies
Assist in producing concise analytical briefs to support insight generation
Assist in analyzing quantitative funding data (and other data type when applicable)
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who:
Demonstrate experience in research, academic writing, or data analysis
Have a background in Economics, Finance, Sustainability, or related fields
Are highly detail- oriented and self- directed
Have a strong interest in climate technology innovation and the investment ecosystem
