Operations Staff (Logistics - open for freshers)

Key Responsibilities
Cargo Operation Management
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and buyers to ensure smooth cargo execution.
• Monitor and ensure timely, accurate completion of shipment processes.
• Calculate and assess operational requirements for cargo shipments.
Documentation & Coordination
• Verify compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and buyers to obtain and issue required post- shipment documents.
• Ensure all shipping contracts, invoices, and customs documents are correctly completed and submitted on time.
Shipment Paperwork & Loading
• Review and verify all loading documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and process shipment- related documents, including contracts and shipping instructions.
Communication & Problem Solving
• Address delays or discrepancies in the shipment process and ensure timely resolution.
• Serve as the main contact point for suppliers and buyers to resolve operational issues.
Reporting & Market Analysis
• Collect, analyze, and report operational data using Bloomberg, Reuters, or Platts.
• Prepare regular updates for management on shipment status, market trends, and operational performance.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and process quality.
• Participate in training programs and stay updated with industry best practices and regulations.
Claim Handling & Post- Shipment Follow- up
• Work with suppliers, buyers, and stakeholders to resolve claim- related issues with proper documentation.
• Calculate and submit claims such as demurrage, outturn loss, and other related items.
• Follow up on additional charges or discrepancies after shipment completion to ensure timely settlement.
Other Duties
• Support other operational areas when needed to contribute to overall team success.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management.
