In the Industrial Engineering Team, the Packaging Engineer works closely with suppliers, internal teams and cross- functional stakeholders to ensure packaging quality, compliance and efficiency. Packaging is a key part of customer experience, ensuring the product comes to the customer as intended, with the correct information displayed, as well important role to protect the goods during transportation and reduce potential quality issues.

While, we sell to the North American market, we work closely with a number of our manufacturing partners throughout Asia. As a result we have an office in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where we currently have around 70 Particles (people of Article) working.

You’ll do all this while growing your skills within a company that is redefining the furniture industry.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be part of a team of 2 people, working to review and approve the packaging scheme, follow up packaging testing requirements. The packaging has to be appropriate for loading containers. You’ll be in the office typically 3 days a week, with approximately 40% travel.
- Ensure Packaging protects our product, meets quality and compliance standards and supports safe handling, container optimization and reduces inefficiencies from factory to customer.
- Assist senior engineers in maintaining and updating packaging and carton marking standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve team goals, build trust, and support Article’s strategy through active listening, idea sharing, and feedback integration.
- Stay informed of the policies and best practices and understand international packing requirements and container loading requirements.
- Analyze customer needs, anticipate issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions using insights and relevant information to support informed decisions.
- Communicate with suppliers on a daily basis; occasional travel to suppliers in HCMC and other regions of Vietnam may be required.
- Request, review, and validate carton marking and BOM packaging specifications, as well as testing reports from suppliers, to ensure compliance with Article’s standards. Maintain and update related documentation in the system.
