PHP Developer

Position Summary
The PHP Developer will assist in the development and daily maintenance of the STS ERP solution. This role will work with other members of the Central Development and Training team to ensure the successful implementation and continual maintenance of STS’ technical solutions.
Essential Job Functions
· Be an active participant in the technical design and planning work with all relevant stakeholders, internal and external.
· Maintains continual awareness of new applications and principles and applies those applications and principles to any existing and/or new projects.
· Optimize and maintain all STS websites, ensuring stability and full content updates
· Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and efficient workflows.
· Undertakes special projects in support of STS business objectives.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Work directly with Odoo team to develop ERP system for STS.
· Develop and maintain STS internal systems to ensure peak performance and reliability.
· Collaborate with all key stakeholders to define, design, and update new features

Education/Training
· Bachelor&039;s degree and/or certification/coursework in Web Development, Computer Science or related field, required.
Experience
· Deep understanding of Object- Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
· Experience designing and integrating APIs – RESTful API
· A minimum of 4 years’ experience working with PHP programming, including developing API services (Python)
· Proficiency in front- end development technologies: JavaScript, HTML and CSS
· Extensive experience with framework Laravel 8, CodeIgniter 4 and Wordpress
· Familiarity with RDBMS databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres)
· Proficient in using GitHub and Bitbucket for version control, AWS to manage code, cloud architecture
Special Requirements
· Written and spoken command of the English language
· Ability to work independently with little supervision
· Strong grasp of ERP systems and functionality
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet short deadlines
· Ability to articulate technical concepts through everyday language in all communications with others
· Great attention to detail
