Manage and supervise the execution of purchasing contracts, ensuring that all contract terms and conditions are properly complied with.
Select and negotiate with suppliers and contractors providing materials, construction materials, plants, and outdoor equipment.
Coordinate the resolution of issues related to plant replacement, non- conforming plants, or plant damage/death occurring during transportation or construction.
Participate in developing and implementing long- term purchasing strategies and plans, ensuring that projects are supplied with materials, equipment, plants, and landscape decorative items on time and in accordance with required quality standards.
Monitor and inspect the quality of materials before delivery and acceptance, ensuring no discrepancies or shortages in quantity or quality.
Coordinate with project/construction teams to monitor contractor performance, quality and compliance with contractual requirements
Prepare periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) on purchasing status, supplier performance, and supply risks.
Manage, train, and develop the purchasing team, creating a dynamic and efficient working environment.
Analyze the market, identify new suppliers and new products, and propose cost- effective solutions while ensuring required quality standards.
Analyze and report price fluctuations of materials and plants; propose cost- optimization solutions to the Board of Directors / Department Head.
Participate in guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of purchasing staff.
Support the Head of Purchasing in managing and operating the Purchasing Department; act on behalf of the Head of Purchasing when formally authorized.
Coordinate the control of purchasing costs by project and monitor compliance with approved procurement budgets.
Responsible for managing all purchasing activities for materials and equipment used in landscape construction, design, and garden construction projects.
Participate in the inspection and quality assessment of plants and ornamental trees at nurseries, ensuring compliance with species, specifications, aesthetic standards, and design requirements.
Coordinate the development and improvement of purchasing procedures, supplier evaluation, and acceptance/inspection of materials and plants.
Work closely with related departments (Design, Engineering, Construction) to ensure that purchasing activities are effective and meet project requirements.
