Product Owner / Product Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a Product Owner (PO) to join our growing Software development team and oversee the Agile development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the client’s needs. The primary role of the PO is determining the overall vision of products, gathering feature requests, managing various backlog items, and deciding which features each product will have according to the client’s preferences. The PO works closely with the development team, internal users, suppliers, and other internal teams to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients can be delivered.

Key responsibilities:

• Groom and prioritize the backlog.
• Analyze preferences and requests of end users.
• Follow the progress of work and address production issues during sprints
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Incorporate feature requests into the product roadmap.
• Write acceptance tests.
• Plan releases and upgrades.
• Review clients, customers, and users’ feedback.
• Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Follow the SDLC and finetune the process.
• Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback.
• Set sprint goals.
• Keep track of industry trends

Knowledge & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or information systems; master’s degree in business or technology- related discipline preferred.
• Good organizational skills
• Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
• Team spirit and effective communication abilities
• Familiarity with Agile is a plus.
• Hands- on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
• 5+ years experience in Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in product management.

Soft skills

• Excellent communication skills with an ability to foster an open dialogue among all stakeholders that encourages respect and honesty.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and project management tools.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
