About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage the full production process at our Vietnam facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Production Manager will lead production teams, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
• Work with cross functional teams including Quality Control and Logistics to ensure efficient and timely product shipping.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Manage vendor relationships, to ensure timely receipts and maintain quality standards, handle RTV process and resolve outstanding issues.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or capacity issues.
• Assist with production assembly as needed.
Team Leadership & Supervision
• Manage and supervise production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
• Build a collaborative, efficient, and motivated work environment.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching as needed.
• Address performance issues and align staff with departmental goals.
Quality Control & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements (including OSHA standards).
• Partner with quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Conduct regular inspections of production lines and equipment.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet standards.
Resource Management
• Optimize resource usage to reduce waste and control costs while maintaining output.
• Oversee utilization and maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain for material availability.
Process Improvement
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging staff participation.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies.
• Recommend and implement process changes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Budget & Cost Management
• Ensure materials and resources are used efficiently to achieve production goals.
• Assist in developing production budgets and ensure adherence to cost targets.
• Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and inventory.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
Health & Safety
• Implement and enforce workplace safety policies.
• Conduct safety training for production staff.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
