Production Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase an organization’s efficiencies. Include building production schedules, making sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and reviewing the productivity of an organization’s manufacturing equipment.
Oversees a company’s production processes to ensure they stay within budget and enhance efficiencies. Responsible for consistently finding ways to improve an organization’s production processes and structures. Production Managers will consistently review employees and their equipment items to determine where to make enhancements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work closely with team members to build strategies to maximize their performances
· Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
· Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
· Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
· Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
· Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident- free
· Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
· Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
· In charge of scheduling routine maintenance to keep the equipment running effectively and maintaining quality standards
· Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
· Collaborate with other departments and team members to set goals for the production team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operations Management is preferred. Masters or MBA is a plus
Experience
· Proven track record of success measured by increased responsibility and attainment of prescribed objectives.
· Experience in adjustable bed frame manufacturing
· 5- 10 years’ experience in managing a manufacturing facility
Knowledge of:
· Manufacturing Concepts
· Theory of Constraints
