Production Manager

The Production manager´s roles can basically be described in 3 dimensions:
1)Running the production in order to produce output
2)Running the Material and Schedule planning and tracking in order to make a plan what to produce when and to coordinate with Purchasing what is required material wise.
3)Optimization of production in terms of total output increase but also and especially in terms of efficiency gains.
Furthermore:
4)Align production resources in a reasonable way (man, machine, material and method)
5)Communicate production schedule, work the team and hold supervisors accountable for shortfalls.
6)Applying Lean manufacturing principles where and when necessary
7)Organize the shop floor tidy and clean
8)Minimize or avoid any kind of waste
9)Ship all orders timely as communicated through planning with the customers
10)Establish and support a continuous improvement mindset and attitude
11)Assess, implement and coach employees on efficiency gains through continuous improvement
12)Establish a mindset of responsibility and accountability in everyone
13)Cooperate with other department teams in a team work way.
14)Daily round up and communication of the production team
15)Assess, coach and develop individual team members in production
