ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Project Planning Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and driving project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient and successful project execution. This role involves breaking down projects into actionable tasks, liaising with stakeholders to define requirements, and managing resources for optimal output.
Project Planning & Coordination:
Resource Allocation: Assign and manage resources to enhance efficiency and maximize output.
Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with stakeholders to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Coordinate Activities & Resources: Organize project management activities, including resources, equipment, information, and project plans.
Task Breakdown: Decompose projects into manageable actions, assign timeframes, and set milestones.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Blocker Resolution: Collaborate with the Project Manager to remove project obstacles.
Risk & Issue Reporting: Identify project risks, report outcomes, and escalate issues as per the project plan.
Communication Hub: Serve as the primary contact for project status updates to all stakeholders.
Procurement Oversight: Manage project procurement, ensuring materials and resources are acquired as needed.
Progress Tracking: Monitor ongoing project activities, addressing issues promptly.
Tools & Documentation
Tool Utilization: Use project management tools to track working hours, project timelines, and expenses.
Quality Assurance: Ensure project standards and requirements are met by conducting quality checks.
Documentation Maintenance: Create and update comprehensive project documentation, including plans and reports.
Partner & Workflow Coordination
Third- Party Collaboration: Strengthen partnerships with external vendors and researchers to support project goals.
Operational Planning: Plan and prioritize tasks to achieve optimal performance and minimize delays.
Supply Chain Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of supply chain processes to support project planning effectively.
Workflow Coordination: Manage production workflows for one or more products to maintain smooth operations.
