Quality Assurance Engineer - Financial Systems

Test Automation Strategy & Design

Define and design the test automation strategy for all financial applications.
Mentor and train junior team members on automation testing and best practices.
Perform code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Build automation testing frameworks aligned with the tech stack and business requirements.

Multi- Platform Test Automation

API Automation: RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration endpoints.
End- to- End Automation: Covering complete business workflows from UI to database.
UI Automation: Web applications (React), Mobile apps (React Native – iOS/Android).
Database Testing: Data validation, integrity checks, and performance queries.

Banking Domain Testing

Loan Processing: Origination workflows, interest calculations, and approval processes.
Financial Calculations: Loan payments, interest rates, fees, and penalties.
Payment Testing: Card transactions, money transfers, and settlement flows.
Compliance Testing: Data validation according to banking regulations.

Test Management & Reporting

Manage test data: Set up and maintain test data for automated scenarios.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automation tests into the deployment pipeline.
Report test results through automated reports, dashboards, and metrics tracking.
Debug and analyze the root cause of test failures and application defects.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics–Informatics, or equivalent.
Preferred: Test Automation certification (ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer).

Experience (Mandatory)

5–7 years of experience in automation testing, with at least 3 years in the financial/banking domain.
Hands- on experience with loan processing, payment systems, and financial calculations.
2+ years of experience mentoring and training junior testers.
3+ years of experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.

Core Technical Skills (Mandatory)
Test Automation Tools

Web: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Page Object Model.
Reporting: Allure, ExtentReports, or custom dashboards.
Mobile: Appium or React Native testing frameworks (Detox/Jest).
API: Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.

Programming & Frameworks

SQL for database testing and data validation.
Java or Python for automation framework development.
JavaScript/TypeScript for React/React Native automation.

CI/CD & Version Control

Basic knowledge of Docker for containerized testing (nice to have).
Jenkins/GitLab CI for automated test execution.
Git for version control and collaboration.

Banking Domain Knowledge (Mandatory)

Basic understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
Financial calculations (interest, fees, penalties).
Payment processing and card management flows.
Loan origination and approval workflows.

Soft Skills

Leadership: Ability to mentor and train team members.
Communication: Able to present test results and collaborate effectively with development teams.
Time Management: Capable of prioritizing automation tasks and meeting deadlines.
Problem Solving: Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Nice to Have (Optional)
Additional Skills

Experience with enterprise banking systems.
Basic DevOps knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
Awareness of security testing practices.
Performance testing experience (JMeter, k6).
BPMN process testing knowledge.
Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure).
