RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertake data preparation for reserving reviews, in- depth portfolio analysis, and planning purposes.
Clearly and succinctly communicate actuarial findings to non- actuarial stakeholders to support decision- making processes.
Respond to ad- hoc actuarial support requests from various business functions.
Work in collaboration with finance, underwriting, distribution, and claims departments to establish budget loss ratios and conduct quarterly loss ratio reforecasting.
Offer actuarial assistance to the country lead in technical reserving, financial reporting, and financial planning areas.
Prepare and analyze data to support financial and regulatory reports based on AASB1023, IFRS4, and IFRS17 standards.
Identify potential risks and report any issues within actuarial and financial reporting processes.
Perform stress tests and sensitivity analyses on a periodic basis.
Detect significant trends in portfolio claims experience and risk profile to aid in reserving and provide actionable insights for the business.
Execute comprehensive actuarial reserving analysis employing actuarial software and statistical methods to project future liabilities and evaluate the company&039;s financial standing.
Develop and manage data visualization dashboards to track portfolio performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Possess strong critical thinking capabilities and a curious nature.
Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is advantageous.
Exhibit effective communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical subjects for a non- technical audience.
Fluency in Vietnamese, English, and additional Asian languages is beneficial.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Have 2- 5 years of relevant experience in general insurance.
Be skilled in using Excel/VBA, SAS, R, or comparable statistical software.
Be proficient in handling and analyzing large datasets.
Have experience with SQL and database systems.
Be a part- qualified student actuary working towards fellowship with an International Actuarial Association.
