In your role, you&039;ll be focused on…
As a Software Engineer (.NET), you will be a part of our Platform and Payroll team, driving the journey we&039;re on of moving to a service- oriented architecture, as part of our .NET Framework to .NET Core migration. Plus all of the new features and enhancements you’ll get to design and put into production around our products, architecture and infrastructure.
You have experience in modernising and transforming systems to stabilise, improve performance, and adapt to rapid global growth. You have a flexible / growth mindset, with a strong desire to continuously learn- our software roles require you to be able to work autonomously as well as a member of a team.

As a Senior Software Engineer (.NET), you’ll be:

Taking initiative in recommending improvements to the development process
Performing tests and quality checks on your code- you own the quality and security of the code you create
Maintaining documentation and providing training for new/updated features
Debugging and performing root cause analysis for application issues
Working on the technology roadmap with Product Owners, designing solutions with your squad, and new feature development, through to production, improving/optimising and maintenance
Mentoring junior members of the squad
Migrating a Windows- based .NET Framework monolith to a Linux- based containerised modular .NET Core system
Proactively identifying application pain points and suggesting mitigation strategies

You’re the hero we’re looking for if:

English language abilities, both written and verbal- you’ll be working with people across the world, including from Australia
Experience with C, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, SQL Server
Having at least 8 years of experience as a .NET Software Development Engineer, particularly for a cloud- based SaaS
Good understanding of database concepts and experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL
Experience in developing software, using microservices or SOA architecture for deployment on public clouds, preferably AWS
Experience using Agile methodologies and working with Product teams
Quality coding practices, including test- driven development, unit testing and secure coding awareness

It’ll be great, but not essential, if you also have experience with:

Have experience in mentoring teammates, or even leading a squad
Knockout, VueJS, ReactJS (or similar JavaScript MVVM framework)
Familiarity with AWS tooling and environments, including EC2, Kubernetes, etc.
Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
The Payroll or financial services domain
