Position OverviewThis role plays a critical part in supporting both R&D and manufacturing operations, acting as a technical bridge between customers, factories, and global brands. By applying strong technical expertise, the position contributes to converting innovative materials and processes into scalable product solutions that improve product performance, quality, and overall consumer experience worldwide.Key Responsibilities1. Customer & Technical Interface• Serve as the main technical liaison between customers and manufacturing sites for chemical- related development and application matters.• Convert design intent and performance requirements into clear technical instructions for development and production teams, ensuring alignment with brand standards.2. Chemical Material Development & Application• Maintain in- depth expertise in outsole materials and manufacturing processes, including RB, IP, PU, Phylon, EVA, and painting applications.• Apply strong knowledge of chemical formulations, process optimization, and material testing techniques.• Demonstrate hands- on experience with adhesives, hot- melt systems, TPU, ink printing, and lamination processes.• Analyze and control bonding strength, durability, and quality performance through appropriate testing and validation methods.3. Process Support & Execution• Possess a solid understanding of end- to- end footwear manufacturing processes, with particular focus on cementing and molding operations.• Provide on- site technical support, troubleshooting, and recommendations for process enhancement when introducing new materials or formulations.4. Quality & Compliance• Ensure materials and production processes comply with brand quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements, including Restricted Substances Lists (RSL).5. Cross- functional Collaboration• Work closely with internal teams and factory partners to support smooth material implementation and drive manufacturing efficiency improvements.
