Senior Data Decision Scientist (Techcom Life)

Job Purpose
Scaling intelligence with ML & AI: Leverage machine learning and AI to address unknown- unknowns, automate decision- making, and unlock new opportunities at scale.
Empowering self- service analytics: Build intuitive dashboards and manage scalable data models that help teams access and explore data independently.
Solving business problems with insights: Apply analytical thinking to uncover patterns, trends, and root causes that drive business performance and customer value.
Key Accountabilities (1)
Data Analytics & Visualization
Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
Design and maintain scalable data models and dashboards that empower business users to explore data and make informed decisions independently.
Analyze complex datasets using scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) to uncover trends, patterns, and performance drivers.
Develop visualizations and reports that support data storytelling and enhance understanding of business- critical metrics.
Key Accountabilities (2)
Insight Generation & Business Problem Solving
Build and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc analysis to support performance management and business planning.
Lead deep- dive analyses to identify root causes, business opportunities, and performance gaps. Translate data into meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions and improve customer value and operational efficiency.
Partner with cross- functional teams to frame business questions and deliver data- driven answers.
Key Accountabilites (3)
Scalable Intelligence with ML & AI
Develop and monitor models that automate decision- making and unlock new business capabilities. Evaluate and integrate new data sources and technologies to enhance model accuracy and relevance.
Apply machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex, ambiguous problems—especially those involving unknown- unknowns.

Success Profile- Qualification and Experiences
Qualifications
- Experience in querying databases and using programming languages (e.g. R, Python, Scala, SQL)
- Deep understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data
- English proficiency requirements are pursuant to Techcombank&039;s policy
- Experience communicating complex analysis and models across a diverse team
- Experience with data analysis and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Spark would be a plus
- Experience in data management, ETL and analysis functions
- Bachelor&039;s degree in Data Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Mathematics or Quantitative Analysis Work Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in areas of data science, data analysis, reporting và planning, problem solving for business
- Experience in building reporting with actionable intelligent
