Who We Are Looking For
NYB is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in software development and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The ideal candidate is a proactive, problem- solving engineer with experience in building scalable, high- performance applications. Your expertise in both front- end and back- end development will enable NYB to create cutting- edge digital solutions that drive innovation in AI- powered drug discovery.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Ensuring application performance, security, and fault tolerance across the full stack through effective use of monitoring, profiling, and automated testing
Optimizing application performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise
Understanding business requirements and translating them into scalable, secure, and user- friendly applications
Writing clean, maintainable code and developing automated tests to ensure software quality
Consulting with stakeholders to refine software objectives and ensure alignment with business goals
Implementing security and data protection measures throughout the application stack
Ensuring cross- platform optimization and responsiveness of web applications
Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and AI/ML researchers to design and implement APIs, microservices, and end- to- end intelligent systems
Deploying and maintaining applications in production environments, ensuring continuous availability and reliability
Designing, developing, and maintaining both frontend and backend components of web applications
Managing available resources, such as hardware, software, and personnel, to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation testing tools
At least 3- 5 years of experience in full- stack development
Knowledge/experience in scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Understanding of micro- services architecture and inter- service communication
Foundational knowledge or hands- on experience in AI, including integrating AI models into applications, working with ML libraries/frameworks, or deploying AI- powered features
Proficiency with backend technologies such as NestJS, Fast API
Experience with database technologies like SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks
Proficiency with frontend frameworks such as React and NextJS
Strong problem- solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with substantial research experience
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Familiarity with Git workflow (feature- based, trunk- based)
Fluent in English
