Senior Lab Technician (Testing/Battery)

OBJECTIVE
The Senior Lab Technician in the PT or HT&PTA Testing Group is responsible for managing the specific testing activities. This includes organizing equipment, materials, work instructions, and maintaining 5S standards. The role involves preparing and following up on test requests, conducting tests, and assigning tasks to Jr.Technicians to ensure timely and accurate results. The Sr.Technician updates test status in the system, works with engineers to resolve issues, and handles reports and data after testing. Additional support tasks in the lab may be assigned as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate Test Requests: Prepare and follow up on test- related samples, bill of parts (BP), accessories, materials, and setup requirements.
Manage Lab Operations: Oversee on- site headcount, equipment, materials, work instructions (WI), space, and maintain 5S standards.
Conduct and Supervise Testing: Perform tests and assign tasks to technicians to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
Post- Test Activities: Handle reports, data analysis, and documentation after testing completion.
Support Additional Lab Tasks: Assist with other assigned duties to ensure smooth lab operations.
Update and Monitor Test Status: Maintain test schedules and status in the system; track abnormalities, issues, and failures with Test Engineers during testing.

Education

Intermediate Vocational and above With major: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Material...

Experience

Minimum: 2- 3 years of experience in a testing laboratory, quality or related technical environment. Preferred: Experience in power tools, mechanical/electrical testing, or product validation. Hands- on experience with test equipment, data collection, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Work Instructions (WI), 5S, and safety standards. Experience in coordinating tasks and supervising technicians is a plus.

Knowledge

Data and Reporting Recording, analyzing, and interpreting test data. Preparing accurate test reports and documentation.
Power Tools and Components Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in power tools. Familiarity with tool performance, durability, and safety standards.
Laboratory Operations Equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance. Material handling and inventory management.
Testing Procedures and Standards Knowledge of product validation and reliability testing methods. Ability to interpret and follow Work Instructions (WI) and technical specifications.
Systems and Tools Basic knowledge of test management systems (for scheduling and status updates). Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools for reporting.
Quality and Safety 5S principles and workplace organization. Safety protocols for electrical and mechanical testing environments.
