Senior Polarion Support Engineer

Job Purpose & Dimensions:
Given the organic growth of our enterprise, we do have the need to establish a central pool of tools, with a standardized way of using them in development, in order to assure development excellence, a high standard of quality and reuse across our SW assets, and investment efficiency in SW Tools, particularly in the area of open- source code security vulnerabilities, and code- quality risks derived from it.
Work closely with SW development teams who are using Polarion, 3DS, R4J and Jama tools, and manage the tool to be used in a managed fashion in order to provide business added value.
Principal Accountabilities:

Coach the reports creation according best practices, tool performance and aSPICE compliant.
Offer online training for Engineering staff regarding Polarion configuration & usage.
Understand & drive end- to- end architecture for optimal performance of Reports system
Explore technologies/solutions for continuous improvements; prime Interface communication the vendor
Be the main point of contact for Polarion reports and their usage
Install and maintain Polarion on the existing infrastructure.
Understand business requirements for access to real- time data via Polarion Reports.
Design and develop live- page reports in Polarion
Be the gatekeeper for required changes in the reports, with respect to corporate compliance to standard.
Pro- active support Engineers with Polarion reports usage, traceability reports, requirements management

Key Performance Measures:

Scalable architecture of new tool, with a ‘state- of- the- art’ level of security
Business needs are properly acknowledged, managed and implemented.
Regular training sessions for the new users of the service, and increased number of users of the tool.
Tool uptime and performance of the service
Integrate into the existing team and be a team player
Ablility and willingness to learn new skills over time which are required for the job

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related equivalent
Knowledge or experience with agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban or XP.
Knowledge of aSPICE & ISO 26262 can represent an advantage
Proven experience with Polarion usage and configuration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience SQL and Javascript
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related equivalent
Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous: Driver Assistance Systems, tools and methods for software quality assurance, aSPICE, System test, development of safety critical systems, system or software architecture definition

Qualifications

Deep understanding of the state- of- the- art SW development methodologies and best practices;
Business fluent in English
Bachelor or Master degree with relevant background (Computer, IT, Science,…)
