Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software QA Automation Engineer
Direct Report: Head of Quality Department
Job Purpose:

Collaborate closely with cross- functional teams, including developers, Manual QA Testers, and System Analysts, to establish and maintain robust automated testing frameworks
Report the test execution result to ensure the Product meets business needs and quality standards.
To design test cases, develop and execute automation test scripts using Selenium

Responsibilities:

Continuously evaluate and refine the automation testing process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy
Analyze business requirements and actively involved in discussion with other teams to ensure proper understanding of business requirements as well as accurate test- cases writeup
Update test execution status and investigate problems in software as a result of testing
Work closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery for both testing and requirement analysis
Assign tasks for junior team members
Highlight critical issue(s) early to team leaders and managers
Write issues/bug report on each case with detailed information
Design and maintain a scalable and maintainable automation framework that supports various types of testing, such as functional, regression, performance, and security testing
Maintain automation scripts when applying changes on the system
Review manual test cases and provide feedback on suitability for automation to the project team
Design test cases and analyze which test cases can do automation testing, develop and execute automation script to cover test cases
Provide mentoring/training and technical support where necessary
Evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to improve testing capabilities
Define guidelines and best practices for test automation, ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects
Be responsible for software quality assurance and testing in all testing environments as well as the Production environment
Ensure that the given test cases are executed efficiently, accurately and completed in a timely manner
Support manual testing if the team leader/manager requires

Skills & Qualifications:

Understanding of test automation processes and best practices
Familiar with and possess hands- on experience in writing test cases
Good time- management skill, able to multi- task and pay attention to details as well as a fast learner
Must know Java programming, Selenium, Object- oriented programming, Object Oriented Design, Page Object Model, API testing
A self- initiated and pro- active team player who can work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of simple Database query is a plus, but not a mandatory requirement
Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and different testing methodologies
Have Experience on SVN, Jira and test case management system is a plus, but not mandatory
Web development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON) is a plus, but not mandatory requirement
Possess good analytical skill & able to think in a systematic manner
Good troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
Experience in developing automation framework and scripts in Selenium
Able to work in a dynamic and ever- changing industry
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written, especially in English. Able to express ideas clearly and concisely
Leadership experience, including leading or managing a team of testers is a plus

Knowledge & Experience:
Have a minimum of four years’ experience in software automation testing
