Position: Senior Strategic Planner
The Role
This role is for a proactive, creatively driven strategist with strong conceptual thinking, the ability to turn insight into powerful communication platforms, and the confidence to shape proposals, pitches, and strategic narratives at a high level.
We are looking for a Strategic Senior Planner who doesn’t just analyze problems — but frames them in inspiring ways that lead to big ideas.
You will work closely with Creative, Account, and leadership teams to define why brands matter, what they should say, and how ideas come to life.
What You Will Do
Strategic Thinking & Idea Leadership
Lead the development of brand, communication, and campaign strategies from insight to execution.
Contribute actively to big ideas, not just strategy decks.
Translate business challenges into clear strategic territories and creative opportunities.
Insight & Cultural Intelligence
Identify sharp, human insights that can unlock distinctive and relevant creative ideas.
Apply global thinking while staying deeply grounded in local cultural context.
Research and synthesize consumer behavior, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and cultural trends.
Creative Briefing & Collaboration
Craft clear, inspiring, and actionable creative briefs that spark great work.
Act as a strategic sparring partner, not just a briefing function.
Partner closely with Creative teams to shape and elevate ideas from early thinking to final concept.
Proposal & Pitch Development
Play a key role in new business proposals and pitches, owning strategic narratives and frameworks.
Develop persuasive storylines, decks, and presentations with strong logic and creative ambition.
Ensure strategic clarity and creative excitement coexist in every proposal.
Client & Internal Engagement
Represent the voice of the consumer and the logic behind the idea in all discussions.
Collaborate seamlessly with Account, Creative, Digital, Media, and BTL teams.
Present strategy confidently to clients, articulating insights and recommendations with conviction.
Strategic Stewardship & Evaluation
Continuously refine thinking based on performance, feedback, and learning.
Define success metrics and evaluate campaign effectiveness to inform future work.
Ensure executions remain true to strategic intent across all touchpoints.
Who You Are
Experience
5+ years of experience in strategic planning, brand strategy, or communication strategy.
Background in global agencies or top- tier local agencies preferred.
Proven experience working on integrated campaigns and brand projects.
Strategic & Creative Strength
Strong conceptual and creative thinking, not purely analytical.
Excellent sense of global branding, communication frameworks, and creative standards.
Ability to turn research and data into sharp insights, compelling narratives, and big ideas.
Skills
Confident presenter with the ability to influence both clients and internal teams.
Highly proactive, self- driven, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
Outstanding proposal writing, deck building, and storytelling skills.
Language
Vietnamese fluency is expected for local context and research.
Fluent in English (working proficiency required).
Nice to Have
Korean proficiency at intermediate level or above.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines without losing strategic clarity.
Strong awareness of cultural trends, youth culture, and social shifts in Vietnam.
Experience across industries such as FMCG, tech, lifestyle, beauty, or premium brands.
