WHY THIS ROLE?
Safety is the highest priority for a Site Supervisor
Site Supervisor ensures the safe, high- quality, and efficient installation of KONE solutions, aligned with the agreed scope, schedule, and budget. The Field Supervisor leads the installation team, coordinates with builders and contractors, and ensures readiness for customer and maintenance handovers. They also serve as the key site contact for customers and stakeholders, supporting Sales, CSE, and Project Managers throughout the installation process.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Site supervision:
• Commercial Oversight & Reporting: Drive variation sales and change orders, ensuring cost recovery. Oversee installation documentation, time sheets, progress reporting, cost tracking, and schedule adjustments.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance: Ensure safe, high- quality, and productive installation and handovers. Enforce KONE installation methods and tools, conduct risk assessments when deviations are needed, and resolve non- conformities in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Site Preparation & Execution: Lead proactive site readiness, including audits, customer deliverables, and resolution of issues. Review and manage site execution plans, field costs, and installation activities from pre- delivery to handover.
• Quality Assurance & Finalization: Verify installation quality, perform final testing, and close outstanding issues. Ensure successful handover to maintenance and manage environmental compliance, including waste and hazardous materials.
• Material & Milestone Management: Plan and coordinate material requests (MS 3x), deliveries (MS 3c), and site logistics. Confirm S- plan milestones (3–5z) and support payment verification in line with contract terms.
• Team Coordination & Handover: Organize installation schedules, resources, and tools. Conduct handovers to KONE and subcontractor teams, clarifying scope, deadlines, and target hours. Facilitate regular team huddles to maintain workflow and reduce waste.
Customer Relationship management:
• Serve as the primary site contact for the customer, ensuring proactive, timely communication and effective use of relevant tools.
• Drive customer satisfaction by delivering a professional installation experience focused on safety, quality, and transparency.
People leadership and subcontractor relations:
• Manage and develop team performance, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify training needs and coordinate with line managers, HR, subcontractors, and procurement to address skill gaps.
• Build and maintain professional, proactive relationships with subcontractor teams, ensuring they meet agreed commitments.
• Promote a safe, motivated, and supportive work environment for all site operatives.
• Ensure all installers, testers, and contractors are properly trained, certified, and competent to perform assigned tasks.
Continual improvement:
• Promote and celebrate team- led improvements, recognizing contributions that foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Coach and support the team in adopting better ways of working.
• Facilitate the use of Lean tools (e.g., Go & See, retrospectives, improvement sessions) to uncover root causes and share actionable insights.
• Empower the installation team to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements through collaboration.
• Champion the use of Lean principles to enhance standard work practices.
