Solutions Team Leader, Adhesives (R&D)

To work closely with PSRA regional and global team to ensure that products are within corporate guidelines and policies
To demonstrate and drive safety leadership
To lead the team and ensuring execution and delivery of agreed plans, using multiple areas of expertise available
To attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop team members
To ensuring preparation, testing, developing, analyzing and researching elements (e.g. Problems, questions, ideas) within the lab capability
To provide input relating to products information, performance and applications to sales and application team.
Capable of recommending full process routing for customers in trial situations in areas of technical expertise
To co- ordinate incremental product development issues approved by Sales Manager, and prioritize the task in agreement with Sales Manager and line manager.
To support projects from R&D global and supply chain by providing specific scientific input
Detailed understanding of chemistry impact on formulation space and real world performance. Can own material slates and suggest consolidation within them
Is aware of key industrial and regulatory test requirements impacting their segments and actively builds them into project planning. Actively informed about upcoming changes and can design testing and project plans accordingly
Deeper understanding of customer and end customer needs
To ensure on PSM and SAQ elements related to RD&I are available and communicated to the stakeholders

Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical technology and 5- 7 years of experience in product development and running production trials.
Have a deep knowledge of our products, recipes, mfg. processes, raw material and customer processes.
Good communication and presentation skills, in English and preferably able to speak Chinese language
Can simplify and teach complex technical concepts to junior chemists.
Can prepare presentations and reports for senior management across more than one function at an appropriate level of technical detail.
