About the Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the supply chain. This role involves conducting on- site pre- shipment inspections at manufacturing facilities across Vietnam, as well as remote inspections for overseas suppliers. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, driving supplier improvement, and supporting the company’s sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform remote visual inspections of overseas suppliers as needed.
Prepare detailed PSI reports and upload to SharePoint for easy access and reference.
Execute quality operations in Vietnam aligned with project requirements.
Collaborate with cross- functional teams to investigate and resolve product complaints, driving corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
Support the sourcing team in identifying and qualifying potential suppliers within Vietnam.
Conduct thorough pre- shipment inspections (PSIs) at manufacturing facilities in Vietnam to verify product quality and compliance with specifications.
Own and manage product testing initiatives to support internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and maintain supplier specification sheets, conducting on- site tests to validate product performance.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and supplier coaching.
Strong English communication skills, with proficiency in writing and reading essential.
Self- motivated, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the plastic or paper packaging industry (preferred).
Bachelor&039;s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
Flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment (WFH and on- site).
Ability to travel extensively within Vietnam to conduct on- site inspections.
Proven QA experience in the food packaging industry, including PSI protocol development and audit execution.
