As an Engineer, Quality Control you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our technology solutions, with a focus on the e-commerce, retail, and F&B sectors. You will collaborate closely with product teams to define and execute testing strategies, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs
This role will report to Lead, Quality Control.
Your role & responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and technical teams to understand requirements and define test objectives for e-commerce, retail, and F&B tech solutions.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure high-quality deliverables across multiple platforms (web, mobile, backend).
- Design, document, and execute manual and automated test scenarios, test cases, and performance tests for e-commerce applications, POS systems, and other retail/F&B tech products.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to ensure the robustness of the platform.
- Identify, report, and track defects, specifying severity and priority while working with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide feedback on product quality, user experience, and technical performance during meetings and product reviews.
- Monitor testing processes and ensure that all activities align with defined standards and procedures.
- Transfer knowledge and provide coaching to junior team members and monitor their performance.
- Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement of testing processes.
Your skills & qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Control or Software Testing, with a focus on e-commerce, retail, or F&B technology platforms.
- Solid experience with manual and automated testing tools for mobile and web applications, particularly in the context of customer-facing services (e-commerce websites, mobile apps, POS systems).
- Experience in performance testing, including load testing and stress testing for high-traffic systems.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and document test scenarios that reflect real-world usage and potential issues in an online retail or F&B context.
- Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter, or other automation and performance testing tools.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and agile methodologies to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced development environment.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
