• Education:
- University or college specialized in agriculture, forestry, or environment. Agricultural economics can be acceptable.
• Knowledge:
- Grasp firmly coffee cultivation techniques such as planting, cultivation, harvest, and post- harvest.
- Grasp firmly Rainforest standard updated, 4C code of conduct, NKG Verified scorecard, and others if applied for certificated coffee production which is managed or controlled by NKG Vietnam.
• Skills:
- Read and understand the work plan.
- Able to use devices such as GPS, smartphones, and tablets with supportive software integrated to well manage farm data.
- Advice, instruct farmers how to cultivate sustainable coffee and to obtain certification.
- Assign tasks for group leaders, check, and supervise the job done.
- Able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office devices.
- Plan internal inspection, map farmland, collect farmer & farm information, and update the information to the database.
- Speak English is preferable.
- Read and understand coffee techniques, certified coffee standards, and code of conduct, scorecard applied.
- Able to use the internet and email.
- Coordinate with farmer group leaders to instruct farmers to keep recording farmer field books, and to make sure that all costs of coffee farming are available and updated properly.
• Ability:
- Good communication.
- Build, maintain, and develop relationships with farmers and partners.
- Able to handle conflicts and contradictions when working with farmer groups.
- Able to work independently and in a team under high pressure.
- Supervise and manage farmer groups/clubs.
- Coordinate well with colleagues.
