Technical Manager - FMCG

The Mechanical Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance, repair, and optimization of all mechanical systems and equipment in a FMCG manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing the preventive maintenance program, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing improvements to increase equipment reliability and productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to provide input on equipment selection, layout, and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain a spare parts inventory system to ensure the availability of critical components.
- Stay up- to- date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical maintenance and equipment management.
- Manage a team of skilled mechanics, technicians, and vendors to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all mechanical equipment, including production machinery, HVAC systems, compressors, pumps, and other supporting infrastructure.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Prepare and manage the mechanical maintenance budget, track expenses, and report on key performance indicators.
- Provide training and mentorship to the maintenance team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Bachelor&039;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficient in the use of maintenance management systems: Krones / KHS / Sidel / Tetra Park system, ....
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians and mechanics
- 5- 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
- Excellent problem- solving, analytical, and decision- making skills
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices
