Vietnam Product Development Manager / Director

Ensure company and client standards are met and consistently followed
Perform and oversee Initial and Technical Design, Product Development and Fit Conformity across all gender apparel categories
Using existing product specifications, patterns, grade rules and individual user measurements, create and oversee the creation of patterns for made- to- measure garments for North American clients
Domestic and international travel required
Create and manage the creation of English language product technical packages
Partner and communicate in English with North American colleagues from business development, account management, product development, supply chain and quality to ensure products are designed and developed to meet clients’ and internal requirements
Design, document, and implement operational workflows; oversee onboarding and training within the Vietnam product design and development team
Partner with global manufacturing resources, particular the company’s factories in Vietnam to ensure product technical packages are accurate for quality production
Continuously seek process improvement and better ways of working both within the team and cross functionally
Create and lead the creation of initial apparel design concepts inspired by both written and graphic inspirations and requirements
Provide operational oversight, detailed tracking, and direction to inform business decisions with accurate and timely information
Develop department and team KPIs that align to company objectives
Convert and oversee the conversion of initial product designs into technical drawings
Participate in regular English language conferences with partner teams in Canada

A depth of engaged leadership experience across multifaceted teams
Fluency in both verbal and written English
Experience in modifying existing patterns for made- to- measure requirements
Relentless attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
Valid passport or ability to apply for one
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible, embraces change and excels in a fast- paced environment
5+ years of diverse apparel design and development experience for North American fit products; uniform or work wear apparel development experience is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience within product design and development
Excellent problem- solving and sound decision- making abilities to solve organizational needs with technology, process, and planning
