WordPress Developer

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with a focus on building and customizing WordPress sites, plugins, and themes. In this role, you will work closely with our design, marketing, and product teams to create seamless, high- performing web experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for developing custom themes, building WordPress functionalities (plugins and theme features), and ensuring that the website functionalities align with the business objectives.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create visually stunning, responsive, and user- friendly WordPress themes.
Ensure all WordPress sites are fully optimized for search engines (SEO).
Integrate WordPress sites with external APIs and systems for better functionality and automation.
Optimize site performance, including speed, user experience, and mobile responsiveness.
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website capabilities and integrate with third- party services.
Implement custom functionality and integrations into WordPress sites using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing WordPress sites and themes/plugins.
Work with the team to ensure that the design and user experience of the site align with branding and customer needs.
Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress sites and themes to meet client requirements.
Perform regular maintenance and updates to WordPress sites, themes, and plugins to ensure security and the latest feature set.

Strong problem- solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with common web performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, image optimization, minification).
Knowledge of front- end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and experience with building mobile- friendly websites.
Experience with WordPress&039;s action and filter hooks and the WordPress REST API.
Experience with version control systems (such as Git) and project management tools (such as Jira, Linear, Trello).
Experience with the WP- CLI.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams including designers, marketers, and product managers.
Good understanding of SEO principles and how to optimize WordPress sites for better search engine rankings.
Proven experience as a WordPress developer with strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and core functionality.
