Assistant Manager – Air Procurement

Provide market intelligence & prepare regular reports to Management.
Monitor the team to follow up (track and trace) the shipment from the start until it is delivered.
Responsible for managing air cargo team daily operations (pricing, booking, space capacity...)
Carry out staff performance reviews in line with the company’s procedures.
Handle full set of air cargo procedures and activities including consolidation arrangement, aircraft loading plan
Manage to negotiate airfreight rates/rate contracts and services with new and existing airlines
Obtain rates for RFQs / ad hoc shipment /...
Carry out inductions or training of new personnel.
Liaise and build strong relationships with airlines and co- loaders.
Ensure 100% utilization of BSA/SBA/Charter or EQs
Solve any arising problem relating to shipment

Possess ability to build relationships with both internal and external teams
18 months of operations and freight forwarding logistics experience (E)
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem- solving Skills
Ability to prioritize and multi- task in a fast- paced changing environment (E)
Strong working knowledge on MS office programs, including Excel, word and ppt
Cargoewise Experience (E)
