Position Overview
The Business Development Executive reports to the Business Development Manager (BDM) and is responsible for the meeting agreed recruitment and business development targets and outcomes in the specified Territory, as well as developing and managing strategies to increase upGrad Global Study Partners (upGrad.GSP) brand profile and uptake in the Territory. The quality consistent actions and processes for identifying, onboarding, and actively managing a portfolio of channel partners in their assigned Territory are critical to this.
Job Description
Business Development (80%)
- Engage and build relationships with the agreed targeted channel portfolio- education agents, Test Prep centers, school, and others to leverage and drive growth in GSP student enrolments.
- Support RRM to achieve revenue, student placement, agent recruitment, retention,and other targets as a set.
- Identifying and researching opportunities that come up in new and existing markets.
- Attendance, in and outside regular working hours, at events and functions representing GSP to students, school, Education Agents, and other potential channel partners and enrolment sources.
- CRM to maintain good customer service for existing &; new markets.
Research & Sales support (20%)
Research and propose proper study plans for customers’ inquiries
Research and update information to provide advice to internal stakeholders regarding trends in your relevant Territory.
Identify and evaluate market opportunities for new products, and services and assess the viability of existing products and strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year working experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience across a B2B and /or B2C sales environment is an advantage.
- A strong understanding of sales pipeline management.
- Ability to generate new business with student agents.
- Knowledge of international education systems; graduate career and recruitment
requirements.
Knowledge of the enrollment and visa requirements for various study abroad destination countries and past counseling experience and awareness of the counseling process for Australian, U.S, U.K, Canada destination universities is a plus.
- Great ability to research and respond to market opportunities.
